Labour Market Assessment & Workforce Readiness Strategy for Major Economic Developments in the Lake Melville Region

 

The Labrador North Chamber of Commerce (LNCC), in collaboration with regional economic development and training partners, invites qualified firms to submit proposals to develop a comprehensive Labour Market Assessment & Workforce Readiness Strategy for Major Economic Developments in the Lake Melville Region.

This strategy will support regional preparedness for anticipated major economic developments, including but not limited to:
  • Future Churchill River hydroelectric and energy-related developments;
  • Expansion of defence-related activities and investments associated with 5 Wing Goose Bay;
  • Mining and resource sector growth opportunities;
  • Transportation, logistics, marine, and aerospace opportunities;
  • Indigenous workforce development initiatives; and
  • Associated population, housing construction, and business growth.
The successful proponent will develop a coordinated strategy that enables the region to maximize economic benefits, strengthen workforce capacity, and ensure workforce readiness to support future projects.
