EXPO LABRADOR 2021 TAKING PLACE IN-PERSON IN HAPPY VALLEY-GOOSE BAY
Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL – The Expo Labrador Organizing Committee is pleased to announce the Expo Labrador 2021 Conference will take place in-person from October 12-14, 2021 in Happy Valley-Goose Bay.
“The health and safety of participants, volunteers and our Labrador communities continues to be our number one priority,” says Expo Labrador Chairperson Ernie McLean. “With signs of our economies reopening, the launch of Newfoundland and Labrador’s reopening plan, and vaccine roll-out and recovery continuing across the country, we are confident Expo Labrador 2021 will provide a dynamic and productive environment for safe networking and learning with health and safety our top priority.”
While a trade show will not take place, the conference program will offer a comprehensive glimpse into the many bustling business sectors in Labrador including mining and mineral exploration, technology and communications, natural resources, Indigenous business and reconciliation, tourism, transportation and much more.
Aside from the conference sessions and networking events, participants will be provided opportunities to explore the Central Labrador region through a Cultural & Heritage Tour. Expo will also showcase the region’s many talented musicians and craftspeople during our networking events. Attendees may also reserve meeting space to host break-out sessions, special announcements or other events.
“With significant consultation with and support from government representatives, community partners, Indigenous governments and public health officials, along with approval of a comprehensive event operations plan, the Committee is confident proceeding with in-person participation for the 2021 event,” says McLean. “Our participants are eager to return to in-person events and we’re thrilled to welcome delegates back to Central Labrador.”
Registration numbers will be limited based on venue capacities and public health measures, and participants may register individually or as a bubble. Online registration will open on Monday, August 9.
