Central Labrador is a hub of activity and is set in one of the most beautiful regions of our province and country.

The Labrador Institute is a special division of Memorial University that was established to stimulate, coordinate, and support major University projects and programs and to expand the Labrador knowledge base. It has two office locations in Labrador. In July 2020, Memorial made a historic announcement about the future of the Labrador Institute: it is now the 15th academic unit of Memorial University, and launching the School of Arctic and Sub-Arctic Studies in Labrador!
