We deliver world-class educational programs in the areas of safety, operational/technical skills, leadership, management and professional development. Thanks to a wealth of industry experience built over the past several decades, the Dexter Institute provides training courses that meet or exceed current legislative standards and industry best practices.

The Dexter Institute currently offers programs based in Nova Scotia and Labrador, with services available internally (to divisions within the Municipal Group) and externally (to companies seeking training for their respective workforces). Thanks to the expertise of our staff — many bring years of first-hand experience in mining/construction as well as education — students will get the “best of both worlds” as we bridge the gap between academic learning and practical training. Students will not only receive comprehensive classroom knowledge, but they’ll have the opportunity to bring this knowledge directly into the field, relying on the insight and feedback of their instructors.
