Kinsmen Park is home to playground equipment, a walking trail, performance stage, splash pad, and washroom facilities (including baby changing stations in both male and female washrooms). The bookable parts of this facility are the BBQ and picnic area. The park is available for private rental and is utilized for a variety of community events. Kinsmen Park is also open to the general public for general use
Community Outdoor Market
During the Summer months, every Saturday starting at 10:00 AM, Kinsmen Park is host to the Community Outdoor Market. The Community Outdoor Market is a venue that allows farmers within the Upper Lake Melville Region to come together on a regular basis to sell their fruit, vegetables, eggs, and other produce directly to their customers. In addition to farmers, the market holds the motto “Make it, Bake it, Grow it.” The market allows for a small percentage of the vendors to be non-for-profit and organic/green. These vendors have to be approved by the market manager and are reviewed by the Community Outdoor Market committee on a regular basis.
