EXPO LABRADOR POSTPONED IN LIGHT OF COVID-19 PANDEMIC
Happy Valley-Goose Bay – The Expo Labrador 2020 Organizing Committee is announcing the postponement of the Expo Labrador 2020 Conference and Trade Show.
“The health and safety of Labrador communities continues to be our number one priority,” says Expo Labrador Chairperson Ernie McLean. “With provincial and federal government mandated business closures, travel restrictions and social distancing measures in place, we remain committed to cooperating fully with recommendations of our government representatives.”
Earlier in 2020, the Labrador North Chamber of Commerce (LNCC) announced the rebranding of Expo Labrador, with a closer alignment to the needs of the business community and a deeper focus on content and solutions for small businesses and Chamber members.
“Despite our hopes of launching the rebrand in 2020, we recognize that business closures and other measures will likely be in place for months to come,” says McLean. “At this time, it is also difficult for us to mobilize our planning committee and develop a high-quality program that our event participants have come to expect. We look forward to gathering with our colleagues again in the near future to celebrate the many business and partnership opportunities that exist in Labrador.”
While no date has been selected, the Organizing Committee hopes to hold the Expo Labrador 2020 Conference and Trade Show in late fall. An update will follow in the coming months.
