What comes to mind when you hear the words Chamber of Commerce? Partnership? Community-building? Collaboration?

We often tell our members that they should consider us at the Labrador North Chamber of Commerce (LNCC) an extension of their own staff. We work together on many important economic development projects and initiatives, and together we strive to secure the socio-economic well-being of our more than 140 member organizations. Whether discussing significant business matters one-on-one or lobbing government and other groups on our members’ behalf, we never stop working for you.

Incorporated in 1986 as a not-for-profit membership-based organization, the LNCC continues to serve the Central Labrador business community through a variety of programs, services and special events. These include initiatives such as NorthLink, monthly membership meetings with high-profile speakers, networking events, the Northern Lights Business and Cultural Showcase, the Expo Labrador Conference and Trade Exhibition, and much more. The Chamber works closely with surrounding communities, economic development agencies, relevant government and community groups, and local businesses to partner on initiatives that help residents and the business community remain competent and competitive in order to raise the profile of the Central Labrador region.

I am honoured to once again lead the Labrador North Chamber of Commerce into 2012. As always, I look forward to the challenges that come with the position, as well as the many, many rewards. As I often say, success comes from the people involved.

We invite you to join us on this journey.
Best wishes,

Sterling Peyton
President
Labrador North Chamber of Commerce
