The LNCC is one of the most active Chambers in Atlantic Canada. We continue to present to a variety of groups on important economic development and socio-economic topics relevant to Central Labrador.
In May of 2018, the Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay (HVGB) and the Labrador North Chamber of Commerce retained Tract Consulting to complete a Recreational Vehicle Park Preliminary Site Assessment and Costing Analysis. This document represents the results of the planning study and provides recommendations for the development of 20 plus lots on town-owned land next to Kinsmen Park.
This study was conducted on behalf of the LNCC and its partners (Goose Bay Airport Corporation and Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay) by consulting groups CPCS and CBCL. The report looks at the current condition of the existing port facilities at Goose Bay, potential economic opportunities moving forward, and recommendations on a governance structure to deal with port management and expansion.
A presentation given to more than 25 Canadian federal ministers on the challenges and opportunities for economic and resource development in Labrador. We were the only organization requested to present on this topic.
A report on the pre-feasibility of a lay down/marshalling yard in Central Labrador. The scope of work involved a review of the documents and literature on existing infrastructure and capacity in the region, identification of stakeholders, and community consultations.
